York schools are Beverley-bound on Saturday to compete in a cross-country fixture with East Riding schools as part of their preparation for the North Yorkshire Schools' Championships to be run at Catterick the following week.

Race times at Beverley are: intermediate and senior girls at 11.30am; junior boys at 12 noon; Year 7 girls at 12.02pm; junior girls at 12.25pm; intermediate and senior boys at 12.50pm; Year 7 boys at 12.52pm.

FOOTBALL

The next City Boys' matches are scheduled to be played on Saturday.

Both are cup games - U11s v Hull (away) and U12s v Nottingham (away).

The York teams will be selected from the following squads.

Future Primary Cup dates are: quarter-finals by Friday, March 21.

Semi-finals and final dates are to be arranged but it is expected that they will be in May. Dates will be confirmed later.
