Chris Titley's review of the year (December 27), omitted one thought-provoking incident in connection with the Queen's Golden Jubilee celebrations.
It was that while attending the service of thanksgiving at St Paul's Cathedral, followed by lunch with the Lord Mayor, the Prime Minister's wife chose to be the only one not to curtsy when presented to the Queen.
