POLICE are hunting the burglars who ransacked two houses in the same York street.
In the first attack, raiders broke a conservatory window in Tudor Road, Acomb, on Saturday night.
The burglary happened some time between 7.30pm and 8.45pm.
The house next door was attacked when the attackers forced their way in through a rear window. The occupant returned home at 10.45pm to find that her television set had been pushed against the front door preventing access.
Police said they did not have firm details yet of what was taken in the burglaries.
