EXPERT navigators from York have prepared two rowers for an arduous transatlantic race.
Elite oarsmen, Adam Murfitt and Paul Nelson, will compete in the 50-day Atlantic Rowing Challenge from the Canary Islands to the West Indies, after completing an ocean masters' course with the York Cruiser Training Centre.
The pair picked up a certificate at York City Rowing Club and took their rowing vessel along to talk about the race.
Centre secretary Paul Scaife said: "It was very interesting to hear about their preparation for the race.
"We wish them all the best."
