YORK remain top of their group in the Yorkshire Under 18's League after a 43-15 win against Scarborough 'B' at the Alexandra Bowls Centre gave them a maximum six points.

Phillip Herridge, Adam Liddell and Zoe Eagles led 8-5 after eight ends before embarking on a run which produced 14 shots, including a six from four ends, on their way to a 25-8 triumph.

Liam Cahill, Josh Cahill and Jamie Lee scored two five's as they won 18-7.

New Earswick kept up the pressure on York with a six-point maximum from a 32-18 victory at Thornaby 'A'.

Rob Cummings, Tom Aveyard and Stephen Long produced a great finish after leading 10-9. They won the last four ends scoring nine shots to win 19-9.

The rink of Katie Aveyard, Paul Bruce and Rob Domville had a good start, scoring a five on the fifth end to lead 9-1 and then resisted a home comeback to win 13-9.
