INNOVATIVE staff at St Paul's CE Primary School have launched a school website to improve links with parents and the community.
The school, off Holgate Road, York, has designed the site so parents can log on to see photographs of the children participating in activities or school trips, read about what they have done during their day and any important school information.
The online school calendar is updated daily and every form or letter sent home with the children is posted on the site for parents to download, should they disappear into a school bag. Teacher Tim Adams, ICT co-ordinator, said parents were guided through the website by Year 6 students on the launch night.
He said: "One mum wrote to say she was delighted that her daughter's grandparents in France could log on to the school site to see what she has been doing during the day."
The site will also include extra-curricular activities, detailing any cancellations because of bad weather.
