TWO men appeared in court charged in relation to violent clashes between rival football fans following York City's game against Bury.
Sean Tansey, 30, of Wilton Gardens, Radcliffe, Manchester, and Andrew James Connally, 27, of Manchester Old Road, Bury, Lancashire, appeared at York Magistrates' Court yesterday on charges of using or threatening violence when present with three or more people who were also using or threatening violence.
The charges relate to an incident which happened last Saturday, in Station Rise, York, as Bury were on their way to York Station.
Tansey and Connally were bailed to return to York Magistrates Court on March 28.
