So John Batchelor has finally left York City. I doubt there will be many tears shed for his departure.
I would like him to answer just one question. Why did he sign away the 25-year lease York City had to play at Bootham Crescent?
With that lease Bootham Crescent Holdings (BCH) and Persimmon Homes would have no right to even think about building homes on York City's rightful home.
I doubt any of us will ever know why such a strange decision was made. Just like none of us have ever been able to figure out why Douglas Craig said the transfer of ownership of the Bootham Crescent ground from the football club to BCH was for the benefit of York City.
