Dringhouses played a York Leeper Hare League Reserve 'A' double-header at Malton Bacon Factory and were rewarded with six points after two narrow wins.

It took Carl Stuttard only 13 seconds to put The Factory into the lead in the first game and they held that advantage for the rest of the half.

But goals from Alex Dewhirst and Gary Lonsborough after the break restored Dringhouses' poise.

The second game took a very similar patter with John Hubbery giving The Factory a first half lead before Jamie Backhouse and Gary Lonsborough replied after the break.

Pocklington and Old Malton also double-headed their games.

A single goal from Rob Bailey decided the first in Pocklington's favour, while the points were shared in the second when a Joe Bagley goal for Pocklington was cancelled out by a Dave Bradshaw penalty.

Bishopthorpe and Dunnington also settled for a draw when a two-goal first half lead for Dunnington, courtesy of goals by Steve Liddiat and John Wormald, was wiped out by strikes from Paul Broadbent and Alex Brandon.

Andy Stubbington and Adam Whalley gave St John's College a two-goal first half lead at home to New Earswick to seal the maximum haul.

In contrast three were scored in the second half at Kartiers where the hosts were edged out 3-2 by Wigginton Grasshoppers.

Paul Hand and James Tong scored in the first half for Kartiers and Grasshoppers respectively with Mark Mabbett adding another for Kartiers before two Dave Wilson goals won the game for Grasshoppers.

Elsewhere, the Crangle brothers, Mark and Paul, were the Osbaldwick marksmen in their 2-0 win at home to Huntington.

Reserve 'B' table-toppers Wigginton Black Horse had the better of the second half at Easingwold, reversing a one-goal deficit to win 3-1.

Joe Manby gave the home side the lead as they enjoyed early dominance but the second half was a different matter and goals from James Luck (penalty), James Wood and Andrew Richardson clinched the points.

Barmby Moor slipped to a 3-2 defeat at home to Haxby Town despite two goals from John Pinder.

Haxby & Wigginton let a two-goal first half lead slip, eventually going down 4-3 at home to Moor Lane. Gary Rylance and Tony Laird had given them the advantage in a first half.

On the restart, Moor Lane's luck changed and they bagged goals from Chris Hall (2) Mick Kenyon and Andy Northfield before Rylance hit his second.

Luckless Riccall were on the wrong end of a 5-1 drubbing at Heslington, where player-manager Rob Cockerill showed the way with two goals to add to strikes from Jamie Winspear, Danny Musgrave and an own goal.

Stamford Bridge let points slip in a double-header' with Poppleton. James Barratt struck the only goal of the first game as Poppleton won 1-0 and in the second the sides drew 3-3 after Stamford Bridge had been two up through Martin Smith Snr and Ben Andrews. Matt Graham scored a hat-trick for Poppleton.
