JIM has fixed it for a North Yorkshire chippie - by presenting it with a double whammy of awards.
Sir Jimmy Savile, a regular customer of brother-and-sister chip shop team David Almond and Andrea Sunley, delighted the pair when he handed them the sought-after Sea Fish Fryers Awards at Thirsk.
The Sunleys' White Horse Caf fish and chip restaurant and takeaways in Thirsk and Northallerton have scooped a quality award for high standards.
Mr Almond said the achievement was down to his staff's hard work and dedication.
He said: "It is a great honour to be awarded this for both shops. Jimmy Savile has been coming to the restaurant in Thirsk for years and he says we serve the best fish and chips he has tasted - so we have his seal of approval too."
