SNOOKER player Ronnie O'Sullivan's life reads like a Hollywood film script. His father ran a sex shop empire before being jailed for life for murder.

His mother was also jailed for tax evasion, while O'Sullivan himself has been to the brink - ending up in The Priory for depression, drink and drug addiction, before overcoming it all to land the World Snooker Championship in 2001.

Now the snooker player has written it all down in this autobiography.

Ronnie is a tale of redemption, relaying a powerful message that you can go through the mill and come out on the other side. It is a gripping book and, thankfully, is nothing like the stagnant and date-ridden style usually prevalent in sporting autobiographies.

It is breathtakingly honest, even down to his feelings towards his fellow professionals.

Ronnie caused a storm when it was released last month but cut through that and what remains is the amazing story of a tremendous snooker talent
