YOUNG York musicians were given the chance to "forget" their music lessons for the day - and have fun with their guitars.
More than 70 children from across the city, who regularly have lessons in school, took part in the day at Westfield Primary Community School.
The aim of the workshop, organised by the City of York Council's arts service, was to allow the youngsters, aged between eight and 11, to have fun. The children played in groups and then gave a performance to friends and family.
