Mrs Clark's litany of what she considers is wrong with Tadcaster's revamped/improved bus station (Letters, May 7) made depressing reading for those of us who hopefully imagined that bus passengers would benefit from the much-publicised proposed bus station improvements on the Britannia car park.
So much attention was focused on the fact that heavy goods vehicles would be banned from using the improved car park that the needs (and comfort) of bus passengers were somehow overlooked.
No doubt our councillors, district and town, will disagree with me - but letters published in the Evening Press before the long-awaited upgrading of Tadcaster's bus station would prove my assertion on this occasion.

... WITH regards to the new bus station in Tadcaster, surely it can't be finished?
Have the powers-that-be ever waited for a bus when it's raining and blowing a gale? Heaven help us in winter. And what about putting the toilets right? They are a disgrace.
Mrs A Clemmit,
Kelcbar Close, Tadcaster.
