Ryedale School pupil Fay Hill, 14, has been awarded the William Begg Award for her hard work in Year 9.
The award encourages and rewards pupils who set high personal standards in their work, especially in science, design and technology. Teacher Peter Ives, head of design and technology, said the school was grateful for the financial help offered with the award, and for the positive encouragement it gave to students.
