Firefighters were called to a kitchen fire at a house in York after a decorating dust sheet caught light.
The minor blaze at Ramsey Avenue, Bishopthorpe, at 7.40pm last night, was extinguished by two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus using a hose reel.
The dust sheet was fire damaged and there was also damage to the kitchen floor, but nobody was injured.
