Like their senior XI, Malton & Old Malton were held to a draw, but their lead of 37 points in division four is the biggest in any of the seven divisions.

Batting first at Osbaldwick, Malton bagged full batting points after knocks by Lester Parking (35) and John Foxton (48) were built on by Chris Smith (61no) and John Dunning, whose 31no helped Malton to 210-4.

In Osbaldwick's reply Matt Dunne made 29 and S Yousef 26 to counteract Shane Bonsor's 3-20 and achieve a draw at 129-8.

Acomb upped the pressure on the leaders when 45 from Nathan Weatherstone steered them to a four-wicket win over Londesbrough Park.

Park's John Williamson had earlier made 52 in a total of 132-8, with Richard Clayton claiming 4-27.

Cawood's Richard Nicholson became the latest player to fall one run short of a century when he was bowled for 99 by Huby's Hugh Sheddon.

Nicholson perished in the cause of quick runs as his ambitious shot was penalised by Sheddon, who took 3-43 as Cawood made 176-7.

Huby surrendered second place to Acomb when they were restricted to 130-8 as Simon Hall took 4-60 and Nicholson followed his big score with 3-38. Chris Cundall's unbeaten 26 staved off defeat for the Hambleton side.

Dunnington skipper Gary Andrew was the only batsman to emerge with credit against Sheriff Hutton Bridge as he batted throughout the 45 overs to make 79no in a total of 141-6.

Dave Houldridge took 3-58 in a marathon 22-over spell while Bridge skipper Dave Ellis took 2-27. Ellis and fellow opener Steve Clipston laid a solid foundation for the Bridge, making 30 before he was dismissed by Jack Bolam at 70.

Clipston soon followed when he fell for 41 as the visitors lost four wickets for 28.

Graham Oxley then chipped in with 21 and SHB reached their target with four wickets in hand off the penultimate ball, with Dave Kitching taking 3-60.

Easingwold's Alan Robinson may well have snatched the monthly batting award with his unbeaten 123 at Thorp Arch & Boston Spa, although it is possible that his score may have been beaten as two results have not been received. Robinson and Tom Langstaff (82no) shared an unbroken fourth-wicket stand of 197 which saw Easingwold plunder 226-3 off the TABS attack.

The home side were then swept aside for 101 as Robinson took 5-46. Adrian Leckenby took the other five wickets for 51.
