I WAS interested in Chris Tetley's former career, but (if you will pardon my French) what the hell does he know about running a railway? ('Ex-Army man takes charge of rail station', August 4).
I am sure former British Rail regional managers will wonder what on earth privatisation of the railways has brought us to.
