YORK Cricket Club will be seeking to preserve their seven-point lead at the head of the Oxbridge Yorkshire ECB Premier League when they entertain lowly Appleby Frodingham on Saturday.
They welcome back Marcus Wood from holiday and skipper Nigel Durham will be hoping to celebrate the birth this week of his daughter.
After last week's shock defeat at the hands of Barnsley, there will be no room for complacency as, despite their lack of success, the Lincolnshire Steelers have proved difficult to bowl out this year.
York will be unchanged on Sunday when they visit Sheffield Collegiate in the semi-final of the League Cup.
The Abbeydale Park-based outfit are in a good run of form and it will be quite a feat if York emerge from the weekend with a full hand of succcess.
