NEW Leeds United signing Didier Domi wants to make peace with Sir Bobby Robson ahead of his Elland Road debut next week.

The 25-year-old fell out with the Newcastle boss towards the end of his three-year spell at St James' Park before being sold to Paris St Germain.

Domi will make his Leeds debut against Newcastle next weekend and insists: "I want to shake hands with Bobby Robson. I enjoyed working with him.

"Everyone knows I like Newcastle so there's no problem and I had a good time there. Where I lived had style."

Domi was today making his pre-season bow for Leeds in a friendly against David O'Leary's Aston Villa in Dublin.

The French star is determined to make his mark at Elland Road and said: "I am happy to be back in England even if it is on loan. Everyone knows me here and I will give everything for Leeds United.

"I hope to bring to the team what I did at Newcastle, pace on the left and put in crosses and show some energy.

"I am confident Leeds can do well if we work hard. There are still some good players here such as Nick Barmby, Alan Smith and Mark Viduka. They had a lean season last year but I am here to help them get higher."

Meanwhile, Leeds were handing a trial to Marseille striker Lamine Sakho during their trip to Ireland this weekend. Senegal-born Sakho, 26, joined Marseille from Lens 18 months ago and scored five goals in 29 appearances last season.

With wantaway striker Mark Viduka pulling out of the Dublin trip with 'a sore ankle' and Michael Bridges also left behind, Sakho hopes to do enough to land a move on loan or a permanent basis.
