DIVISION four leaders Malton slipped up against relegation-threatened Thorp Arch.

They were bowled out for 207, with Michael Cole (3-27) and

Robert Williams (3-52) leading the attack. Nick Smith scored 88 and James Foxton 49.

Andrew Hawkswell (96no) was well supported by Matthew

Warrilow (46) and James Turner (25), as TABS inflicted only the second defeat of the season on Malton.

Acomb enjoyed a comfortable victory over Easingwold to narrow the gap at the top to just eight points. Alan Robinson

(47) and Mark Hunter (31no) contributed half of the Easingwold team's total of 156-8, in which John Renshaw secured a return of 3-37. This score was nowhere near enough to deter James Byford, who hit an undefeated 89, with Scott Nicholls notching up 39, as Acomb passed the target for the loss of just one wicket.

Huby took the maximum 30 points at The Leyes, as Duncan

Grainger (83), Colin Piercy (58 ret) and Darren Howell (54) posted 244-7. Despite a spirited 79no from Andy Hall, Paul

Moore (6-47) and Tim Little (4-33) left Osbaldwick's reply 83 runs adrift.

Dunnington defeated Sheriff Hutton at Common Road when Alvin Kallicharan's 4-30 ensured that, despite Craig Dodsworth's half century, the visitors were restricted to 147-9.

The former West Indies' star then top-scored with a half century as Dunnington won by five wickets. Junior player Ben McGill supported with 29.

Whitkirk got the better of a draw against Londesbrough Park, who fell 17 runs short of a winning score with two wickets remaining. They were chasing 200-7, with Chris Barlow striking 93 he received little support.

Cawood passed Sheriff Hutton Bridge's modest 134 all out with the loss of five wickets. Nigel Bartram took five wickets for Cawood as Bridge offered only modest resistance. Mark Steward (34), Stuart Baxter (33) and Richard Nicholson (29) ensured Cawood eased home.
