I AM trying to trace an old Royal Navy friend. His name is Alan Wortley (nickname 'Whisper') and his home town was York. We served together on HMS Swiftsure in 1953, based at Chatham.

I came from Faversham at that time but on leaving the Navy, I moved to Scotland.

Perhaps some friend or relative of his may have information of his whereabouts?
