I WAS interested in Paul Baker's photograph of three cyclists riding the wrong way through the city's one-way system ('Cyclists dice with death', August 7).
I may have encountered the same three, first riding at speed up Micklegate hill in convoy on the pavement and then, within a very few minutes, riding down again, still on the pavement. They then turned right into Skeldergate.
Waiting at the Skeldergate pedestrian crossing I was joined by a man who had also witnessed this.
These cyclists are speedy and silent and when three of them are travelling in line there is a great risk of a pedestrian being hurt.
