Blimey. A frightening prospect. The DVD version of this out later this year has the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra performing this gig in the full Kiss make-up. You couldn't imagine the LSO doing it, could you?
Disc One is Act One featuring Kiss live and acoustic doing Lick It Up, Calling Dr Love and Psycho Circus among others, and Act Two, the band and The Melbourne Symphony Ensemble which includes Beth, Sure Know Something and Shandi. Disc Two is Act Three, Kiss with the full orchestra, and doing Detroit Rock City, I Was Made For Lovin' You and Rock And Roll All Nite, and an excellent version of
Black Diamond that's very dramatic.
The mix works well, but there are omissions, the most glaring one being Heaven's On Fire - I bet they could have had some fun doing that one with an orchestra!
