THEY call it the sport of kings. But racing is also the sport of kids. And grandads, mums, cousins, uncles...
Nowhere is this more apparent than at the Evening Press Sunday race day. There was a tremendous family atmosphere among the large Knavesmire crowd as race fans young and old enjoyed another cracking day out.
Anyone who had a few quid on Queen Charlotte will take away particularly fond memories from the day. It romped home at 55-1.
But the odds are a lot shorter on another season of fine racing.
