Pocklington managed to get back to winning ways in the York Leeper Hare Football League premier division thanks to a late goal in a 2-1 victory at home to Huntington.

Dave Ablett opened their account but a fine performance by Huntington goalkeeper Steve Myers prevented Pocklington from increasing their lead before half-time.

The visitors levelled matters with a Kevin Marton strike only for Barry Gargett to hit the winner in the last minute.

Copmanthorpe crushed Kartiers 4-1 after losing an early goal to Andrew Woodall. The game took a dramatic turn when Copmanthorpe's former York City wideman, Kieron Darlow, hit a hat-trick in the space of five minutes. Terry Hibbert increased the lead with the goal of the match two minutes after half-time.

In-form Wigginton Black Horse overhauled visiting Old Malton 4-1. Anthony Luck opened with two goals in the first half hour, brother James adding a third before the break. Old Malton countered to win a penalty which Seb Toase converted to give them hope. But they squandered two chances soon after and Chris McFee wrapped things up for Black Horse with ten minutes remaining.

Dunnington gained the points at Nestl Rowntree with the only goal of the match scored by Robbie Hart after 75 minutes as the hosts wasted numerous chances.

Tate & Lyle Selby denied championship hopefuls Dringhouses two points with a goal from Chris Harkin in their 1-1 draw. Jim McMurray scored for Dringhouses.

Malton Bacon Factory entertained Bishopthorpe and helped themselves to five goals without reply. Nicky Drew netted twice inside the first ten minutes but 75 minutes elapsed before Nigel Allen hit the third. Two minutes later Andrew Thornton struck and Drew completed his hat-trick soon after.
