POCKLINGTON'S poor run at Northallerton continued, losing 13-10 in a scrappy Yorkshire Three game that ended in atrocious conditions.

It took until the 26th minute for Northallerton to open the score when they crashed over after a bout of forward pressure.

Pocklington's Mark Biggin reigned in the line-outs but though his side tried to get the ball wide, they dropped some vital passes and also missed a couple of kicking chances.

Northallerton were on target with a penalty to stretch their lead before Pocklington hit back just before the interval when full back Charlie Allen chipped ahead for wing Johnny Frank to touch down.

But having pulled themselves back into the game, and with the slope in their favour in the second half, Pocklington then handed Northallerton a gift try score at the start of the second period.

The visitors missed more kicks at goal - totalling six - and though fly half Kevin Bowling gave them hope when he looped round to cross in the corner, Pock's hopes were swamped in a deluge of rain.
