HUNTERS, the award-winning York-based estate agency announced that it has invested £400,000 in a Manchester branch - its first base outside Yorkshire.
The firm, which won the Progress Through People title in last year's Evening Press Business of the Year Awards, will create 30 new jobs at the 3,800 sq ft premises in Deansgate, Manchester.
The new office will specialise in sales and lettings, land and new home sales, commercial agency, financial services, overseas sales and conveyancing.
It adds to the nine Hunters offices - in Colliergate and Bishopthorpe, York, Harrogate, Wetherby, Ripon, Haxby, Acomb, Easingwold and Leeds. Between them they employ 116 people. Kevin Hollinrake, director of Hunters, said: "This is an extremely exciting phase in Hunters' expansion programme. Many of our existing developer clients, landowners and investors, are very active in the north-west, so we already have plenty of demand."
