LAURA Jarvis, a pupil at Queen Margaret's School, Escrick, is jumping for joy.
She's back at school after coming second in the high jump at the English Schools' Athletics Championship for Under-19s.
Jarvis leapt 1.69metres, breaking her personal best by six centimetres at the Don Valley Stadium, Sheffield.

Secondary school football fixtures for next week are:
Fulford v Joseph Rowntree, Lowfield v Oaklands, Manor v Millthorpe, Tadcaster v Bootham, All Saints v Archbishop's, Burnholme v Huntington, Oaklands v Joseph Rowntree.
Results of all these matches must be sent in to Schools Sports correspondent Peter Wilmott, 217 Beckfield Lane, York, as soon as they are played.
NETBALL
The county netball trials will be held at Joseph Rowntree School, York, on Saturday, September 27.
Jo Ro will also host the following tournaments - National Under-16s (Tuesday, October 7), National Under-19s (Wednesday, October 15) and the National Under-14s (Saturday, October 18).
