Basic errors cost New Earswick All Blacks ARL Under-16s as they lost 24-10 at Hull.

Danny Allen raced away to score an 80-yard interception try in the corner, with Thomas Mackley adding the conversion and a penalty as All Blacks trailed 12-8 at the break.

Danny Allen added a penalty after the interval before the hosts stretched their lead.

All Blacks' men of the match were Liam Gargan and Ross Divorty, followed by Jack French and Thomas Hodgson.

New Earswick All Blacks Under-12s played excellently to beat Rodley Rockets 28-16.

Tries were scored by Chris Chaplin, who also kicked two goals, Ash Richmond and Matty Gell (3). Man of the match was Richmond, best tackler was Marek Dziemianko and most improved was Chris Chaplin.

The players had also done well in their previous defeat by York Acorn, having been two players short and losing another through injury halfway through the game.

Sam Gell scored two tries, but New Earswick All Blacks Under-9s lost 11-3 to Dudley Hill in their first game of the season.

All Blacks' other touchdown came from man-of-the-match Scott Fernandez. Jordan Bracewell was top tackler and David Dodsworth took the most improved player award.
