York Acorn Ladies got their first points of the season, against Brighouse (formerly Halifax), in their second game of the Women's ARLA first division season.
Acorn outplayed and overpowered their opponents to win 46-24.
The attack was led by half-backs Lou Potter and Donna Parker, with loose forward Kay Rollinson (the referee's player of the match) firing on all cylinders.
Acorn's points came from tries by April Crake, Yvette Sheperd, Sharon Hyde, Jenny Garwood (2), Kay Rollinson (2) and Sasha Hilton (2) to go with five goals from Kay Rollinson.
There were strong performances by prop Angie Champion and winger Tammy Strydam, both newcomers.
