NEW Earswick All Blacks ARLC youngsters Danny Allen and Ross Divorty are in line for international honours after being selected for the Great Britain Under-15s train-on squad, writes Peter Martini.
The duo, who were both picked for the North Yorkshire Service Area team and made it through to play for Yorkshire U15s in August, are among 40 players chosen for the young Lions train-on squad.
They will attend a six-day camp in late October for assessment and coaching before final selection for the 20-strong GB squad to play internationals next year takes place.
Divorty, the son of York-based former Hull and Great Britain star Gary Divorty, had been selected for the GB U14s squad earlier this year, but international matches only take place from U15 level upwards so he is still awaiting his first Lions appearance.
Both players, who star for All Blacks U16s, go to Archbishop Holgate's School.
