Grand Passion can triumph in the Tote Cambridgeshire Handicap at Newmarket tomorrow.

The three-year-old, trained by Geoff Wragg, will be ridden by in-form jockey Darryll Holland in this thrilling 35-strong cavalry charge over a straight nine furlongs.

Classy three-year-olds always deserve respect in this race and Grand Passion, twice a winner this season, has impressive form.

His win on Newmarket's July course in mid-summer was achieved in good style from Boston Lodge and Flighty Fellow, and his latest start, in Listed company in France, saw him fail by only a neck to Golden Devious.

I expect my Nap selection Grand Passion to make a bold bid tomorrow, but there are plenty of dangers.

A failed appeal by champion jockey Kieren Fallon against a one-day riding ban rules him out of the race and denies him the chance of teaming-up with Akshar, a winner at York in August and a good third to Naheef on Knavesmire last month.

Sir Michael Stoute's charge is short-list material, along with Island Light, Zabaglione and Pentecost. But my colours are nailed to the mast of Grand Passion.

The Newmarket programme opens with the Jersey Lily Fillies' Nursery, in which Snow Goose boasts a solid chance.

Winner of her last two starts, and still on the upgrade, John Dunlop's useful juvenile will be partnered by Pat Eddery, who won one of the major races on the course yesterday aboard Milk It Mick.

Eddery and Dunlop also have good prospects of landing the Oh So Sharp Stakes with the smart Spotlight.

In the Peugeot Sun Chariot Stakes, with £80,000 up for grabs, I go for Sir Michael Stoute's triple-winner Favourable Terms, an impresive winner at Chepstow last time and beaten only once this season.

Redcar racecourse's biggest day of the year is highlighted by the £150,000 Redcar Two-Year-Old Trophy, in which I fancy Peak To Creek to complete a memorable week for Newmarket trainer Jeremy Noseda, who won yesterday's Group 1 Cheveley Park Stakes with Carrry On Katie.

Peak To Creek, previously successful in the Lowther Stakes at York, has an excellent chance of bagging Redcar's big prize.

Shane Kelly's speedy mount has proved a model of consistency this season and is a previous winner over this course-and-distance.

Flipando, trained near Thirsk by David Barron, and Jamie Osborne's Diosypros Blue rank among the dangers to Peak To Creek in this 26-runner event.

The Tetley's Guisborough Stakes, the first Listed race Redcar have staged, adds to the action on the seaside course. Marcus Tregoning, whose horses are in fine form, could be the trainer to follow, courtesy of Three Graces, the mount of Martin Dwyer.

Dwyer, having the best season of his career, can also lift the Levy Board Handicap on recent course-and-distance winner Triplemoon.
