THE York Festival of Remembrance will be held at York Barbican Centre on November 2 at 7.30pm.
Taking part will be the Normandy Band, The Queen's Division; Backworth Male Voice Choir; York Festival Ladies Choir; soloists Janina Sweetenham and Eileen Lavender; and narrator John White. The event will include a parade of standards and service of remembrance, and as usual the producer is Brian Coates.
Tickets cost £8, £7 or £6, with concessions available, on 01904 656688, and proceeds go to the Poppy Appeal.
