HOW I agree with all the grumbles in your article ("The grumps get grumpy", October 17), and I should like to add one of my own.
It concerns the raucous racket which accompanies nearly every item on television. If it were melodious it may be acceptable, but usually it is a tuneless, toneless drumming or equally tuneless tinkling of a piano.
Which idiot is responsible?
