POLICE say there is still no trace of a York civil servant who went mysteriously vanished almost four weeks ago.
Peter Critchlow, 25, was last seen in the Heworth Green area at 3.30am on Saturday, November 17, after a night out with friends at The Old Swan, Goodramgate, and The Willow restaurant, Coney Street.
Mr Critchlow, of Markham Street, The Groves, works for the government pensions department at Monks Cross.
Despite extensive searches, including house-to-house inquiries, searches of the River Foss by police divers and widespread media coverage, there has been no trace of him.
His girlfriend of two years, Dawn Harrison, 24, and his parents, who have a farm in Northampton, have still not heard from him and are increasingly anxious to find out where he is.
Dawn, who first met Peter six years ago at York St John College, said today that his family and friends are feeling extremely worried with Christmas looming.
"It is nearly four weeks now. It is really dragging on," she said.
A spokesman for York Police said they have had a disappointing response to a leaflet and poster campaign appealing for information about the civil servant's whereabouts.
Anyone with information for officers should phone York CID on 01904 669389.
