WITH regard to North Yorkshire Police again wanting to impose an inflation-shattering rise in the council taxpayers' contributions (December 15), I should like to ask the Chief Constable Della Cannings a question.
What proportions of our present payment and of the proposed rise are going directly to fund the force's final salary pension?
Most of us now no longer have the choice of being in such generous pension schemes, yet we are expected to pay for someone else's.
