Christmas spirit was to the fore last Sunday at the White Horse Inn in Upper Poppleton. The proprietors Gary and Julie Watson had organised a Charity Night in aid of Shopmobility York and the event raised £400.
As chair of Shopmobility York I thank the jazz band for providing a wonderful atmosphere, the locals for taking part in the raffle and tombola organised by York Lions Club and Ferrybridge Power Station for their donation of £200, and, of course, Greg and Julie for their donation and support.
