A PARCEL delivery business has expanded into the York area, creating three new jobs.
Husband-and-wife team Chris and Pat Young now has responsibility for delivering Interlink Express parcels to all addresses with a YO postcode.
The expansion means there will be ten more vans servicing the whole of North Yorkshire, providing later collection times for customers' parcels and guaranteed early-morning premium deliveries.
The couple already ran the Interlink Express Scarborough parcel collection and delivery depot, in York Road Industrial Park, Malton. But now they have incorporated the York Interlink depot, in Clifton Moor, into their existing operation.
Chris said: "Customers will benefit from a distribution service available to a greater area and we fully expect to further grow our coverage with new routes and extra vans in the near future."
Chris's son, Martin, who is responsible for the company's day-to-day operations, said: "Interlink Express is successful because it is a local business with a national and international network. With unrivalled local knowledge, we are local businessmen serving local business but with the added back-up of the second largest postal operation in Europe."
