SO here's a last-minute Christmas present for motorists: the notorious gap on the A64 at Bilbrough Top was closed today.
After seemingly endless delay, prevarication and dithering, one of North Yorkshire's most dangerous junctions has been sealed up, thanks to the efforts of readers directed through our Close The Gaps campaign.
Even better, a flyover is to be built next year. Shame we had to wait so long.
