Runaway division two leaders Easingwold survived a close encounter at home to Ouseburn to keep their 100 per cent record intact.

Adam Graves and Gary Raper netted inside the first ten minutes to give them a flying start but the visitors pulled one back from the spot in the last minute of the first half and ten minutes into the second Ouseburn snatched a leveller.

Paul Ellerker and Ian Hardisty responded to put Easingwold firmly back in control before Ouseburn scored again in the last minute to make the final score 4-3.

Elvington Harriers remain in the drop zone despite gaining three points in the bottom-of-the-table clash with Huby.

The young Elvington team welcomed back several players after injury lay-offs and college commitments and played excellent attacking football, with 16-year-old Adam Bruce prominent. However, finishing proved to be a problem.

Luke Dove finally managed to score ten minutes into the second half following a move involving Ray Moulds, Kevin Marsh and Andy Foster. Huby equalised when a long-range free-kick was deflected into the net with 15 minutes remaining but Dove netted the Harriers' winner five minutes from time.

Another side with scoring problems were Moor Lane, who lost 3-2 at Heslington.

They dominated the first 20 minutes without converting their chances and then presented the home side with an own goal.

Simon Musgrave and Gary Newbould added further goals for Heslington before veteran Mick Kenyon came on as substitute for the Lane and showed the younger players how to find the net.

Gary Smith followed suit with a second goal in the last minute but Heslington were not to be denied the spoils.

Wilberfoss continued to push for the second promotion place with a 5-3 victory at Fulford thanks to two late goals.

Liam Morrison put Fulford ahead and, after Dave Bailes and Olly Newby had turned it round, Glen Featherstone levelled from the spot to make it all-square at half-time.

Shaun Hodgson restored the lead for Wilberfoss in the second half and after Featherstone had netted a second equaliser, again from the spot, two late goals from Newby and Richard Tinson clinched the points for 'Foss.

Barmby Moor gained revenge for an early season defeat at Stillington by comfortably winning the return match 5-1.

Richard Allison and Phil Goddard scored a brace apiece and John Peacock also netted, while Steve Johnson replied with Stillington's consolation.
