READING CR Duckels' letter about waterways and facilities (December 22), I am sure David Heigh of York leisure services is aware of the situation.
I recently received the CVS newsletter and read that a centre to do with waterways is to be discussed.
The discussion date is Tuesday, January 27 in Knavesmire Room, York CVS, 15 Priory Street, York YO1 6ET starting at 7pm.
For more information ring Tony Martin on 01904 635992.
If you are concerned about the state of our waterways and their potential use, you will be most welcome.
Some joint approach for the rivers Ouse and Foss to be more boating-friendly would be a good start.

Custance Walk,
Benedict Road,
Nunnery Lane, York.
