SO the gritters were poised, and the council had plans to deal with "the situation".
Well how about ensuring the salt bins in residential areas are actually full?
Preparing to spread some rock salt on our ungritted street my father was surprised to discover the salt bin was empty. On phoning the council we were told someone would fill it within the next day or so. Well done City of York Council.
