A YORKSHIRE woman scored a century today as she celebrated her 100th birthday.
Grace Burrows, of Red Lodge, New Earswick, was surrounded by her family for her birthday celebrations.
She said: "I can't get over it - it's come all of a sudden."
Her daughter, Margaret, 60, said: "I'm extremely proud of her - she's quite a lady."
Grace celebrated her 70th wedding anniversary in Red Lodge in 2002, shortly before her husband, Tom, died.
The couple married in Leeds in 1932, and went on to have three children, David, Michael and Margaret.
They spent much of their early married life in Thorne, in South Yorkshire, but then moved to Filey, where they spent 25 years.
Now Grace has three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Margaret said: "She's a very happy person, always smiling. She's absolutely wonderful."
