WHAT is the crash barrier recently put up on Wigginton Road all about? I cannot see any reason for erecting this barrier except maybe to protect the road sign behind it.
As a regular user of the road I should have thought any funding allocated to this stretch of road would be better spent on traffic calming.
I used to regularly hack down Wigginton Road but now refuse to because of the speed with which cars travel up and down with no respect for we horse riders.
Maybe if traffic calming of some sort were introduced we would consider going out again.
After all, the horse was around before the car.
