I WAS shocked to read about the violent attack on Nurse Jackie Jeffery at York Health Centre in Monkgate (February 13, Evening Press).
I had to attend York Hospital recently for running repairs to my throat which has done considerable mileage in choirs and brass bands and found the nursing care first class.
On my last day in hospital I passed on a colourful bowl of flowers - sent to me by well wishers - to the nurse who brought my last meals. Nurses do work hard.
