TWO second half goals by Andy Green earned title-chasing Pocklington a 2-2 draw at home to Copmanthorpe in Leeper Hare York and District League premier division.

Copmanthorpe were two up at the break with goals from Matty Bastock and Terry Hibbert.

Green scored for Pocklington straight after the restart and he got the equaliser from the penalty spot on the hour mark.

Rufforth moved out of the bottom two with a 3-0 win at home to Selby side Tate & Lyle. Gary Keenan opened the scoring with a close-range header after good work by Phil Jones and Keenan made it 2-0 before half-time.

Tate & Lyle stepped up their attacks in the second half without success and Phil Jones raced clear to score Rufforth's third goal.

Bishopthorpe's plight at the bottom increased with a 6-1 defeat at Old Malton. Seb Towse (2), Dean Readman (2), Paul Scaling and Dave Bradshaw did the damage.

Dunnington are not out of the relegation zone after a poor performance at home to Kartiers.

Richard Gladwell netted direct from a corner in the first half for the Selby side and Jamie Barratt made it 2-0 with five minutes remaining. Simon Woods pulled one back for Dunnington two minutes from time.

Nestl Rowntree were unlucky not to get at least a point at Wigginton Grasshoppers, who led 2-1 at the interval after Dominic Graham and Luke Roberts scored.

Dave Bonner made it 3-1 on the hour, but Rowntrees reduced the arrears and dominated the last half hour.

Malton Bacon Factory are still in title contention after a 5-2 home win over Osbaldwick. Simon Collins netted twice in the first half and Nigel Allen added the third, with Richard Burnett responding for Osbaldwick.

Richard Dale netted the Factory's fourth in the second half with a free kick and Collins completed his hat-trick before Mark Andrews scored again for the visitors.

Thorpe United went clear of their nearest rivals in division one but they had a close call at bottom of the table Civil Service. Matt Topham netted for the home side and Thorpe had two penalties to thank for their 2-1 win.

Hamilton Panthers, in second place, came back from two down to win 5-2 at home to Stamford Bridge. Sam Browne and Simon Walters netted early goals for Stamford Bridge.

David Hyde scored Panthers' first after half an hour. Paul King equalised on the stroke of half-time and Hyde put Panthers ahead within minutes of the restart. Nick Rank equalised for the visitors but goals from Shaun Turner and King sealed victory for Panthers.

Three second half goals from Mark Belleh, Dave Kettlewell and Stuart Kehoe gave South Bank a 3-0 win at home to Crayke.

Haxby lost 4-2 at home to St John's College. Andy Stubbington put the students ahead in the first half. Chris Dyson equalised for Haxby, but goals from Owen Jones, Andy Sherlock and John Hilton saw the students take control. Dave Cruddas pulled one back for Haxby late in the game.
