SO far as pensioners etc complaining about the hike in the council tax, I say: tough!
Do they not realise they collectively have the power to stop these increases?
They should have ganged up, so to speak, on their local councillor and had there been enough of them they could have instructed him or her not to vote for an increase.
Had there been enough at the Haxby-Wigginton meeting, that was my intention. So, unless you are prepared to gang up, shut up.
