KARTIERS' hopes of denying Dringhouses their fifth Reserve 'A' title on the trot were knocked by a Malton Bacon Factory fightback in the second half.

Two down at the break, Warren Greenlay (pen) and Tom Oxtoby struck goals to snatch two points away from the Selby side. Osbaldwick won 3-0 at home to Bishopthorpe with second half goals from Mark Triffitt (2) and Paul Crangle.

The result makes Bishops odds on for the drop with only three games remaining and a seven point deficit to make up.

South Bank improved their chances of avoiding relegation by winning 4-1 at home to Dunnington with goals from Mitchell Dixon, Drew Kelly and John Alcock. Mick Robinson netted for Dunnington.

Mark Leask scored twice to give St John's College a 2-0 win at Old Malton.
