WOULD one of the local self-appointed motoring spokesmen please tell us just where it says in the Highway Code that you can park on double yellow lines, half on the footpath, if you put hazard flashers on, while collecting a takeaway meal, returning or collecting a DVD/video, going to a cashpoint or "just popping to the shop for a minute"?
I've looked but can't find it.
And when was traffic in York officially told to ignore yellow box junctions at rush hour times? Did I miss the announcement?
