Huby were the latest side to be demolished for a low score when they crumbled to 30 all out in their division four duel at Sheriff Hutton.

The hosts' Simon Thornton (6-10) and Richard Armitage (4-18) were in unstoppable form. Sheriff had earlier made 169-6 with Chris Megone hitting 50 and Ed Taylor 31 to ward off Hugh Sheddon, who took 4-55.

Matthew Hoyle was almost certainly denied a three-figure score by the weather which halted Selby's game against Hornsea in the 26th over. Hoyle had reached 73no and Clyde Connellon 41no as leaders Selby progressed 138-1.

Another probable centurion was Thorp Arch's Andy Hawkswell who had hit an unbeaten 70 in his side's 102-2 when the game against Osbaldwick was abandoned after 23 overs.

While the division's top two sides were frustrated by the weather, bottom-placed Whitkirk were thankful the heavens had intervened after they were dismissed for 101 by Londesbrough Park when the rain took control at the tea interval. Rob Wilkinson had 4-25 for the Park ranks.

Easingwold skipper Alan Robinson was in masterly form as his side beat Pocklington by eight wickets. Robinson captured 7-45 as he and Darren Powell 3-63 dismissed Pocklington, for whom Gary Milner made 45 and Dave Gamble 39, for 117. Robinson made 36 as his contribution to an opening stand of 107 with Richard Jones who went on to an unbeaten 66 as Easingwold moved into third place.

Mick Bradley put Civil Service in command at Sheriff Hutton Bridge when his 5-47 pegged the hosts to 122-9.

For the Bridge, Vic Klays made 54 and Dave Ellis 37 then Graham Oxley took 3-43 but Ben Olney made a match-winning 60no and Alex Raper added 37 as Service moved to 123-5.
